According to officials, the accident occurred when the bus, which was returning from an event attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, crashed into the mini-truck under circumstances that are still being investigated.

Both drivers—the bus driver and the mini-truck driver—were among those killed in the collision. The impact of the crash was severe, leading to multiple fatalities on the spot and leaving several passengers critically injured.

Emergency services rushed to the scene soon after the incident. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, with some reported to be in serious condition. Local authorities, along with police teams, carried out rescue operations to evacuate passengers trapped in the damaged vehicles.

Preliminary reports suggest that factors such as overspeeding, poor visibility, or road conditions may have contributed to the accident, though officials have stated that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the loss of lives and announced compensation for the families of the deceased, along with financial assistance for the injured. He also directed officials to ensure proper medical care for those hospitalized.

The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations, particularly on highways where such fatal accidents frequently occur.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and adhere to safety norms to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
