Dumps Remains in Yamuna

Agra Horror:According to police officials, the accused allegedly lured the woman to his office under the pretext of resolving a personal dispute. Investigators said he suspected her of having an affair, which led to frequent arguments between the two. On the day of the incident, the argument reportedly escalated, culminating in the brutal killing.

Police sources revealed that after committing the murder, the accused allegedly used sharp tools to cut the body into several pieces in an attempt to conceal the crime. He then packed the body parts into sacks and disposed of them in the Yamuna river during the night, believing the evidence would never be recovered.

The crime came to light after the woman was reported missing by her family. During the investigation, call detail records and CCTV footage reportedly helped police trace her last known location to the accused’s office. Upon questioning, inconsistencies in his statements raised suspicion, and he eventually confessed to the crime during interrogation, police said.

A search operation was launched along the Yamuna riverbank to recover the remains. Police teams, along with divers, have been deployed to locate and retrieve evidence from the river.

The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder and destruction of evidence. Authorities stated that further investigation is underway to determine if anyone else was involved or had prior knowledge of the crime.

Senior police officials condemned the incident as “heinous and barbaric,” assuring that strict legal action would be taken. The victim’s family has demanded swift justice.

The case has once again raised concerns over crimes driven by suspicion and possessiveness, prompting calls for stronger awareness and intervention in toxic relationships.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
