Bahujan Samaj Party Aims to Secure ‘Master Key of Power’ Democratically, Says Mayawati at All-India Meet

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Wednesday asserted that her party is striving to obtain the “master key of power” through democratic means, addressing party leaders and workers at a national-level meeting held in Lucknow.

The all-India meeting focused on strengthening the party’s organisational structure, expanding its support base, and addressing pressing national issues, including trade policies and the concerns of farmers and Bahujan communities.

Master Key of Power

Emphasis on Democratic Path

In her address, Mayawati reiterated that the BSP remains committed to constitutional and democratic processes in its quest for political power. She said securing the “master key of power” is essential to effectively safeguard the rights and interests of marginalised communities, including Dalits, OBCs, minorities, and economically weaker sections.

She urged party cadres to intensify grassroots outreach and mobilise support ahead of upcoming elections.

Concerns Over Trade and Farmers

The meeting also flagged concerns related to trade agreements and their potential impact on domestic markets. Party leaders expressed apprehension that certain economic policies could adversely affect small traders, farmers, and rural communities.

The leadership stressed the need to protect the interests and future of the country’s farmers and Bahujans, calling for policy measures that prioritise social justice and economic equity.

Organisational Strengthening

Senior party functionaries from across States participated in the deliberations. Discussions reportedly centred on booth-level strengthening, cadre training, and expanding the party’s footprint beyond its traditional strongholds.

Mayawati is said to have emphasised unity within the party and discipline among workers, urging them to focus on long-term political strategy.

Political Significance

The national meet is being seen as part of the BSP’s broader effort to reposition itself in the evolving political landscape. Observers believe the party is seeking to consolidate its core support base while appealing to wider sections of society.

The meeting concluded with a resolution reaffirming the party’s commitment to social transformation and its goal of achieving power through democratic and constitutional means.
