Expressing deep respect for the grieving family, Mr. Soren said the decision to donate the baby’s organs despite personal tragedy reflects extraordinary courage and humanity. “By giving life to others, the child will always be remembered,” the Chief Minister said, highlighting the transformative power of organ donation.

The organs were reportedly transported to Jharkhand and transplanted into patients in need, offering them a renewed chance at life. Medical authorities coordinated closely to ensure the safe retrieval, transport, and transplantation of the organs in accordance with established medical protocols.

Mr. Soren stated that the incident underscores the importance of spreading awareness about organ donation across the country. He emphasised that timely organ donation can save multiple lives and significantly improve the quality of life for recipients.

The Chief Minister also announced that the Jharkhand government would take all necessary steps to further strengthen the State’s organ donation policy. He said efforts would be made to improve infrastructure, streamline procedures, and conduct awareness campaigns to encourage voluntary organ donation.

Health officials noted that such cases demonstrate the life-saving impact of a well-coordinated organ transplant system and cooperation between states. The State government is expected to review existing guidelines and explore measures to make the process more accessible and transparent.

The baby’s act of donation has drawn widespread appreciation, with many hailing it as a poignant reminder of compassion and hope emerging even from profound loss.
