Day Temperatures Cross 30°C in Several UP Districts; 2–3°C Rise Likely in Coming Days

Lucknow: Daytime temperatures have crossed the 30°C mark in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, signalling the beginning of a gradual transition toward warmer weather conditions across the state, according to meteorological officials.

Day Temperatures

Cities including Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Kanpur recorded maximum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius over the past few days. Weather experts have predicted a further rise of 2–3°C in the coming days as clear skies and dry conditions persist.

Officials from the regional meteorological department said the steady increase in daytime temperatures is consistent with seasonal changes as winter gradually recedes. “This indicates a gradual transition toward warmer conditions across the state in the coming days,” an expert said, adding that no significant western disturbances are expected to affect the region immediately.

While days are becoming noticeably warmer, early mornings and nights are still relatively cooler in some districts, creating a mild temperature variation. However, this gap is expected to narrow as the mercury continues to climb.

Farmers have been advised to monitor weather updates, especially those with standing rabi crops, as rising temperatures can influence crop growth patterns. Health experts have also suggested that people stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours.

The weather department has not issued any heatwave alert yet but indicated that above-normal temperatures could persist if current atmospheric conditions remain stable. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the evolving weather pattern as Uttar Pradesh moves closer to the pre-summer phase.
