Swift Response Prevents Major Damage

Office employees noticed smoke emanating from one of the rooms and immediately alerted authorities. Fire safety personnel and local fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames before they could spread to nearby furniture or official records.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident. However, some minor damage was caused to the appliance and surrounding items due to the heat and smoke.

Evacuation and Safety Measures

As a precautionary measure, parts of the building were temporarily evacuated to ensure the safety of employees and visitors. Power supply to the affected section was also switched off to prevent any further electrical hazards.

Authorities said the situation was brought under control within a short time, and normal functioning resumed soon after clearance from fire officials.

Investigation Underway

A preliminary assessment suggests an electrical malfunction as the likely cause of the fire, though a detailed inspection is being carried out to determine the exact reason. Officials have stated that electrical wiring and appliances in the building will be checked thoroughly to avoid similar

incidents in the future.

The timely response of staff and emergency services helped avert what could have been a more serious situation in the busy Sector 17 administrative hub.
