Vapi (Gujarat):Four people were hospitalised following a gas leak at a chemical manufacturing unit in Vapi on Monday, officials said. The incident occurred in Sarigam town, which falls under an Industrial Notified Area known for its cluster of manufacturing units.
According to authorities, the gas leak was reported from a reactor at Cynax Metachem. The leakage allegedly led to eye irritation and breathing discomfort among workers present on the premises at the time.
Immediate Response
Factory management alerted local authorities and emergency services soon after the leak was detected. Fire brigade teams and officials from the pollution control department rushed to the site to contain the situation.
The affected individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Doctors said their condition is stable and they are out of danger.
