India has strongly dismissed comments made by Pakistan regarding the recent flag-raising ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, calling the remarks “unwarranted” and made with “contempt.”

🏛️ What Triggered the Row?
Pakistan had expressed “deep concern” over the ceremony held at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, raising objections and attempting to frame it as a matter of minority rights.
The comments drew a swift and firm response from India.
🗣️ India’s Strong Rebuttal
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) rejected Pakistan’s statements outright, stating that:
The remarks are baseless and politically motivated
Pakistan has no locus standi to comment on India’s internal matters
India emphasised that the temple ceremony was a domestic cultural and religious event.
⚖️ Counter-Attack on Human Rights Record
In a sharp counter, India highlighted Pakistan’s own track record, pointing to:
Allegations of bigotry and discrimination
Human rights violations, particularly concerning minorities
