📰 IPL 2026: Varun Chakravarthy Working Hard, Has the Right Attitude, Says Rahane

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane has backed spinner Varun Chakravarthy despite his recent dip in form, expressing confidence that the mystery spinner will bounce back strongly in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026.

Speaking after KKR’s high-scoring clash against Mumbai Indians, Rahane acknowledged that Chakravarthy has not been at his best in recent matches but stressed that the bowler’s work ethic and mindset remain positive.

Rahane attributed the dip in performance to mental fatigue, pointing out that Chakravarthy has been part of a high-intensity cricketing schedule in recent months. He noted that such phases are common for players, especially those involved in back-to-back tournaments and high-pressure games.

“He is working really hard, and his attitude is right. It’s just a matter of time before he comes back strong,” Rahane said, highlighting the team’s continued faith in the spinner.

Chakravarthy, known for his variations and ability to trouble batters in the middle overs, has been a key component of KKR’s bowling attack over the years. However, in recent outings, he has struggled to contain runs and pick wickets consistently.

Despite this, team management appears in no mood to make drastic changes, instead choosing to support the player through a challenging phase. Experts believe that with rest, tactical adjustments, and confidence from the captain, Chakravarthy could soon rediscover his rhythm.

As the tournament progresses, KKR will be hoping their premier spinner regains form quickly, especially with crucial matches ahead in the Indian Premier League 2026.
