With the IPL season drawing massive crowds, the Bengaluru City Police has issued a detailed traffic and movement advisory for fans attending matches at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

🚦 Traffic Plan and Restrictions
Authorities have put in place a comprehensive entry and exit strategy to manage heavy congestion on match days. Several roads around the stadium will witness traffic diversions and restrictions, especially during peak hours before and after matches.
Commuters not attending the matches have been advised to avoid the Central Business District (CBD) area to reduce congestion.
🚌 Public Transport Strongly Recommended
Fans have been urged to make maximum use of public transport services, including:
Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses
Namma Metro
Special bus services and increased metro frequency are expected to handle the surge in passengers on match days.
🚖 Dedicated Pick-Up and Drop-Off Points
To streamline movement and reduce chaos, police have designated specific locations for app-based cabs and auto-rickshaws:
B.R.V. Ground (near Gate No. 06)
Manekshaw Parade Ground (near Gate No. 03)
Spectators are encouraged to use only these points for pick-up and drop-off to ensure smoother traffic flow around the stadium.
🚶 Entry and Exit Guidelines
Fans have been advised to:
Arrive early to avoid last-minute rush
Follow designated entry gates printed on tickets
Cooperate with security and traffic personnel
