Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash: Bodies of Seven Victims Brought for Post-Mortem

The bodies of seven persons killed in the tragic air ambulance crash in Jharkhand have been recovered and brought to a hospital for post-mortem examination, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Shubham Khandelwal said that all seven individuals who were on board the aircraft have been retrieved from the crash site. The deceased have been identified as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Archana Devi, and Dhuru Kumar.


According to officials, the air ambulance went down under circumstances that are currently under investigation. Rescue teams, including local police and emergency responders, rushed to the site soon after the incident was reported and conducted a search-and-recovery operation.


The bodies were shifted to a nearby government hospital where post-mortem examinations will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities said that standard aviation accident protocols are being followed, and a detailed inquiry has been initiated.


Preliminary reports suggest that weather conditions and technical factors are being examined as part of the investigation. Aviation authorities are expected to analyse the aircraft’s maintenance records and flight data to ascertain the cause of the crash.
