Jharkhand Air Ambulance Crash: Bodies of Seven Victims Handed Over to Families After Post-Mortem

Ranchi: The bodies of seven people who died in the recent air ambulance crash in Jharkhand were handed over to their family members after the completion of post-mortem examinations, officials said.

According to health department authorities, the autopsies were conducted at Sadar Hospital, Chatra. After the medical examination and necessary formalities were completed, the bodies were released to the relatives of the deceased.

A senior health department official confirmed the development, stating, “The post-mortem was conducted at Sadar Hospital in Chatra. The bodies have been handed over to the family members after the autopsy.”

Soon after the incident, rescue teams and officials rushed to the crash site and shifted the bodies to the hospital for identification and post-mortem procedures.


Authorities said the process was carried out in the presence of medical staff and officials following standard legal and medical protocols. Family members of the victims were informed and arrived at the hospital to claim the bodies after the examinations were completed.
