🔴 Jharkhand CM Urges PM Narendra Modi to Ensure Safe Return of Stranded Indians from Gulf Nations

Hemant Soren has urged Narendra Modi to take immediate steps to ensure the safe return of Indian nationals stranded in various Gulf countries.

In a statement, Mr. Soren expressed concern over reports that several workers from Jharkhand are facing distress due to job losses, legal complications, and other hardships in Gulf nations. He appealed to the Centre to coordinate with Indian embassies and local authorities to facilitate their evacuation and provide necessary assistance.

The Chief Minister said the state government has been receiving requests for help from families whose relatives are stranded abroad. He urged the Prime Minister to:

  • Expedite diplomatic efforts with Gulf nations

  • Arrange safe transportation for affected individuals

  • Ensure legal and financial support through Indian missions

  • Set up emergency assistance mechanisms

Soren emphasised that many of those stranded are migrant workers who had travelled abroad seeking better employment opportunities and are now in vulnerable situations.

🌍 Coordination with Centre

Soren said the state government is prepared to extend all possible assistance and will work in coordination with the Union government to bring back affected residents safely.

He also called for long-term measures to safeguard migrant workers’ rights and ensure stronger monitoring mechanisms for overseas employment.
