Limited Flights Resume From Dubai; Abu Dhabi Plane Lands in Delhi as UAE-India Air Travel Reopens Gradually

In a significant step towards normalising air connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and India, limited flight operations have begun from Dubai, while a flight from Abu Dhabi successfully landed in Delhi, marking the phased resumption of services.

The Dubai-based airline Emirates confirmed that it has started operating limited flights on select routes. The airline stated that services will initially be restricted and operated under specific travel guidelines issued by authorities in both countries.

Abu Dhabi–Delhi Flight Touches Down

A flight from Abu Dhabi landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, carrying passengers who had been awaiting the reopening of routes. Airport officials confirmed that all standard arrival procedures, including document verification and health-related protocols if applicable, were followed upon landing.

This development comes as part of coordinated efforts between Indian and UAE aviation authorities to restore connectivity while ensuring passenger safety.

Emirates Announces Limited Operations

In an official statement, Emirates said it will commence limited flight operations to key Indian cities. The airline added that passengers must check eligibility criteria, visa requirements, and updated travel advisories before booking tickets.

The carrier emphasised that flight schedules may remain subject to change based on regulatory approvals and evolving operational conditions. Travellers have been advised to monitor official announcements and airline notifications for the latest updates.

Relief for Travellers

The gradual reopening of flights is expected to bring relief to thousands of passengers, including Indian expatriates, business travellers, and tourists who rely heavily on the busy UAE–India corridor.

Authorities indicated that further expansion of services will depend on demand, bilateral agreements, and operational feasibility in the coming weeks.

With limited flights now operational from Dubai and arrivals beginning from Abu Dhabi, air travel between the two nations appears to be steadily moving towards fuller restoration.
