Lucknow Shocker: NEET Repeater Allegedly Kills Father With Rifle, Dismembers Body; Sister Locked in Room for Four Days

In a chilling incident reported from Lucknow, a young man preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) allegedly shot his father dead with a rifle, dismembered the body, and confined his sister inside a room for nearly four days, police said.

According to senior police officials, the accused, described as a NEET repeater, allegedly used a licensed rifle belonging to the family to shoot his father during a dispute at their residence. Investigators believe the incident occurred several days before it came to light.

After the killing, the accused allegedly used a saw to cut the body into pieces in an attempt to conceal the crime. Some body parts were reportedly recovered from the house during the investigation.


Sister Rescued After Four Days

Police said the accused locked his sister inside a room following the incident, restricting her movement for nearly four days. The matter surfaced when neighbours grew suspicious due to unusual circumstances at the house and alerted authorities.

Upon reaching the spot, police forced entry into the residence and rescued the girl. She is currently safe and assisting investigators.


Weapons Recovered

A senior police official confirmed that both the rifle used in the shooting and the saw allegedly used to dismember the body have been recovered. Forensic teams examined the scene and collected evidence.

“The rifle and the saw used in chopping the body have been recovered. Some parts of the body were also recovered,” the officer said, adding that further searches were ongoing.


Motive Under Investigation

Preliminary inquiry suggests there may have been ongoing tensions within the family, though the exact motive behind the crime is still under investigation. Police are questioning the accused and examining his mental and emotional condition.

The accused has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
