Man Dies 10 Days After SUV Driven by Minor Hits His Scooter

 A man who was critically injured after his scooter was hit by an SUV allegedly driven by a minor has succumbed to his injuries ten days after the accident. His wife, who was riding pillion at the time of the crash, remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

Accident Took Place at Busy Intersection

According to police, the incident occurred at a busy road junction when the SUV reportedly rammed into the couple’s scooter. Eyewitnesses said the impact was severe, throwing both riders onto the road and causing grievous injuries.

Passersby rushed the victims to a nearby hospital, where they were admitted to the intensive care unit. Despite continuous medical treatment, the man passed away late on Sunday night.

Wife Battles for Life

Doctors attending to the woman have described her condition as critical. She sustained multiple fractures and internal injuries in the collision. Hospital authorities said she remains under close monitoring and is on life support.

Minor Booked, Investigation Underway

Police confirmed that the SUV was being driven by a minor at the time of the accident. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act.

Authorities are also probing how the minor gained access to the vehicle. The vehicle owner — reportedly a family member — may face charges for negligence and allowing an underage individual to drive.
