Man Killed in Delhi After Clash Between Two Families Over Holi Water Balloon

A festive celebration turned tragic in Delhi when a man lost his life following a violent clash between two families after a water balloon thrown during Holi accidentally hit a woman.

How the Incident Happened

According to police officials, the incident occurred on the day of Holi when residents in the neighbourhood were celebrating the festival with colours and water balloons.

Family members of the deceased said that an 11-year-old girl from their house was playing Holi on the terrace with other children. During the celebration, she threw a water balloon at her relatives standing below. However, the balloon missed them and instead fell onto the road outside the house.

When the balloon burst, coloured water splashed onto a woman who belonged to another family passing by the street.

Argument Escalates Into Violence

The woman reportedly objected to the incident and began arguing with members of the girl’s family. What started as a verbal argument quickly escalated into a heated confrontation between the two families.
