According to police officials, demonstrators gathered in large numbers and staged a road blockade, causing major traffic disruptions in the area. The protest soon escalated, with incidents of stone-pelting and clashes being reported, prompting police intervention.

An FIR has been registered at the Kosi Kalan Police Station against Daksh Chaudhary and his associates under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police said the accused were involved in inciting the crowd, blocking key roads, and engaging in violent activities that posed a threat to public safety. Additional forces were deployed to bring the situation under control and restore normalcy.

Officials confirmed that 19 people have been detained so far, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend others involved in the unrest. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence to strengthen the case.

The protest was triggered by the death of a local cow vigilante, which led to anger among certain groups. However, police have appealed for calm and urged citizens not to take the law into their own hands.

Security has been tightened in sensitive areas, and preventive measures have been put in place to avoid further escalation. Senior officials stated that strict action will be taken against those found guilty of disturbing peace.

The situation is now reported to be under control, though authorities remain on high alert to prevent any fresh incidents.
