Kharat, who had reportedly built a following in parts of the city, is facing a series of criminal cases, including charges of sexual assault, exploitation, and cheating. According to police officials, a total of ten First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered against him at the Sarkarwada Police Station.

Out of these, eight FIRs pertain to alleged sexual assault or exploitation of women, while the remaining two involve accusations of financial fraud and cheating. Investigators believe that more victims may come forward as the case gains attention.

During the court proceedings, the prosecution argued that extended custody was necessary to allow police to thoroughly question the accused, verify testimonies, and gather further evidence. Officials are also probing whether Kharat operated alone or had associates who may have facilitated the alleged crimes.

The defence, on the other hand, is expected to challenge the allegations in the coming hearings. Meanwhile, police sources indicate that they are examining financial transactions, communication records, and other material evidence to build a strong case.

The case has sparked concern among residents and raised questions about the misuse of religious influence for personal gain. Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information or complaints to come forward and assist in the investigation.

With multiple serious charges under scrutiny, the coming days are likely to be crucial in determining the direction of the case as law enforcement agencies continue their probe.
