Oil Prices Drop Below $90 After Trump Signals Iran War May End Soon

Global oil prices fell sharply to below $90 per barrel after Donald Trump, President of the United States, suggested that the ongoing conflict involving Israel and Iran could end soon.

Brent crude had earlier surged to around $119 per barrel, the highest level in over three years, due to fears that the conflict would disrupt global oil supplies. However, prices dropped quickly after Trump said the war was “very complete” and could be resolved in the near future.


The fall in oil prices also triggered a rebound in global stock markets, which had been under pressure due to concerns about rising energy costs and supply disruptions.
