One Student Killed, 11 Injured After Ceiling Collapses During Tuition Class in Navi Mumbai

A tragic accident occurred in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, where the ceiling of a building collapsed during a tuition class, leaving one student dead and at least 11 others injured.

According to officials, the incident happened when a group of students had gathered for a tuition session inside a room. At the time of the accident, around 11 students were present in the classroom.

Suddenly, a portion of the upper floor slab fractured and collapsed, sending debris crashing down onto the students below. The sudden collapse created panic in the area as students and teachers rushed to escape the room.


Rescue Operation

Local residents and authorities quickly rushed to the scene and began a rescue operation. The injured students were pulled out from the debris and taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Unfortunately, one student succumbed to injuries, while the others suffered varying degrees of injuries.


Cause of Collapse Under Investigation

Officials said the exact cause of the collapse is still under investigation. Preliminary reports suggest that the building might have had structural weaknesses or poor maintenance, which could have led to the slab giving way.


Authorities Take Action
