The upgraded dispensary is set to provide a wide range of medical services for judges, court staff, lawyers, and other personnel working at the court. Among the key additions are free diagnostic services such as X-ray and ECG, along with comprehensive eye check-ups and physiotherapy facilities.

Officials stated that the dispensary will also feature dedicated drug counters to ensure easy access to prescribed medicines. Importantly, specialised doctors from various fields will be available at the facility on a roster basis, enabling timely consultation and treatment without the need to travel outside the court premises.

Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Justice Sahoo emphasised the importance of accessible and quality healthcare in high-pressure work environments like courts. He noted that the upgraded facilities would not only improve convenience but also contribute to the overall well-being and efficiency of those working within the judicial system.

Court authorities highlighted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to modernise infrastructure and welfare services at the Patna High Court. The enhanced dispensary is expected to significantly reduce dependency on external medical facilities for routine check-ups and minor treatments.

Members of the legal fraternity welcomed the move, stating that the availability of in-house healthcare services will be particularly beneficial during long working hours and urgent situations.

The development reflects a growing focus on employee welfare within institutional setups, ensuring that essential services like healthcare are readily accessible to those serving in critical public roles.
