According to investigators, the elderly victim was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence, prompting a detailed probe. Preliminary findings suggest that the murder may have been carried out with the intent of robbery or due to personal enmity, though the exact motive is still being examined.

Police officials said that the two accused, who were known to the victim, fled the scene soon after the crime. Based on technical evidence, surveillance inputs, and initial inquiries, authorities suspect that the duo managed to escape towards Nepal in an attempt to evade arrest.

Special teams have been formed to track down the suspects, and coordination with central agencies and border authorities has been initiated. Police are also working with counterparts in Nepal to trace the accused and facilitate their return to India.

Investigators are analysing call records, financial transactions, and travel routes to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the murder. Efforts are also underway to gather additional evidence and identify any possible accomplices.

The case has caused concern among residents in Coimbatore, particularly over the safety of elderly citizens living alone. Authorities have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to apprehend the accused at the earliest.

Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses and police continue their search across multiple locations.
