📰 Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare Conspired to Take Control of NCP, Alleges Rohit Pawar

A fresh political controversy has erupted within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) after party MLA Rohit Pawar accused senior leaders Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare of conspiring to take control of the party’s leadership structure.

Addressing the media, Rohit Pawar claimed to possess documents allegedly signed by Patel and Tatkare, which outlined a plan to centralize power within the party. According to him, the documents suggested that in the absence of a national president, all authority would be transferred to the national working president, who would then take all key decisions.

“This clearly shows a deliberate attempt to sideline the established leadership and concentrate power in the hands of a few,” Pawar alleged, adding that such moves go against the democratic functioning of the party.

The allegations have intensified internal tensions within the NCP, which has already been witnessing factional divisions in recent times. Rohit Pawar’s claims are being seen as part of the ongoing power struggle within the party between different leadership groups.

While Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare have not issued detailed responses to the specific allegations, sources close to them have dismissed the claims as politically motivated and lacking context.

Political observers note that the dispute reflects deeper issues within the party’s organisational structure and leadership transition. The question of who controls decision-making authority has been a sensitive topic, especially after recent political realignments.

The controversy is likely to have wider implications for the party’s unity and future strategy, particularly in states like Maharashtra where the NCP remains a key political player.

As the situation unfolds, party workers and leaders are watching closely to see whether the leadership will address the allegations internally or if the rift will deepen further in the public domain.
