Rajasthan Budget Focuses on Infrastructure Push; Economy Projected to Reach ₹21.52 Lakh Crore

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has unveiled a growth-oriented Budget with a strong emphasis on infrastructure development, fiscal discipline and long-term economic expansion. Presenting the Budget in the state Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Kumari said Rajasthan’s economy is projected to touch ₹21.52 lakh crore, reflecting steady growth driven by structural reforms and prudent financial management.

The Budget presentation in Jaipur outlined a roadmap centred on roads, irrigation, urban development, industrial corridors and social sector investments. The government highlighted that sustained policy reforms over recent years have strengthened the State’s financial position and accelerated economic activity.
Infrastructure at the Core
A significant portion of the Budget allocation has been earmarked for infrastructure projects, including:
Expansion and upgradation of state highways and rural road networks
Investments in water supply and irrigation systems
Urban infrastructure modernisation in growing cities
Support for industrial zones and logistics hubs
Officials said improved connectivity and public works would not only generate employment but also enhance investor confidence.
Economic Expansion
The Finance Minister emphasised that Rajasthan’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has expanded considerably under the present administration. She attributed the growth to fiscal discipline, efficient revenue collection and targeted public spending.
According to Budget estimates, the State’s economic size is expected to reach ₹21.52 lakh crore in the coming financial year, positioning Rajasthan among the faster-growing state economies in India.
Structural Reforms and Fiscal Prudence
The government highlighted measures aimed at:
Strengthening revenue streams
Enhancing transparency in public expenditure
Promoting ease of doing business
Encouraging private sector participation
