Samriddhi Yatra : Nitish Kumar Launches Projects Worth ₹781 Crore in Bihar

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday launched development projects worth ₹781 crore as part of the state government’s Samriddhi Yatra initiative in Bihar. The projects are aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving public services and accelerating development across several districts of the state.

During the event, Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple schemes related to roads, public buildings, drinking water facilities and other development works. Officials said the projects are expected to boost connectivity and improve basic amenities for local residents.

Focus on Inclusive Development

Speaking at the programme, Samrat Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, highlighted the state government’s commitment to inclusive growth. He said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Nitish Kumar is working with the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, ensuring development for all sections of society without discrimination.

He added that the government is prioritising infrastructure development and welfare programmes to improve the quality of life for people in both rural and urban areas.

What is Samriddhi Yatra?

The Samriddhi Yatra is a statewide outreach programme launched by the Government of Bihar to review ongoing development works and announce new initiatives. Through this campaign, the Chief Minister visits various districts to interact with citizens, inspect projects and monitor the implementation of government schemes.

Officials said the initiative also helps the administration identify local issues and accelerate solutions at the ground level.

Projects Across Sectors

The ₹781-crore package includes projects in sectors such as road construction, public infrastructure, education facilities and civic amenities. Many of these projects are expected to create employment opportunities while improving transportation and access to services.
