Seven Injured as HRTC Bus Veers Off Road in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi District

At least seven people were injured after a Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus en route to Sarkaghat veered off the road in Mandi district on Saturday morning, police officials said.

The accident occurred in the early hours when the bus reportedly lost control while navigating a stretch of the hilly road. Due to the impact, several passengers sustained injuries, while others escaped unhurt.

Rescue and Medical Aid Launched After Bus Accident in Himachal’s Mandi District

Local residents and emergency services rushed to the spot soon after the accident and helped in rescuing the injured passengers. The victims were taken to a nearby government hospital, where doctors said their condition was stable.

Police officials confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening.

Mandi Superintendent of Police said a case has been registered in connection with the accident and a detailed investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause.

“A case has been registered in the matter, and further investigation is underway,” the SP said, adding that factors such as road condition, mechanical issues, and possible driver error are being examined.


Seven Injured in Mandi Bus Accident; Traffic Restored on Sarkaghat Route

The accident briefly disrupted traffic on the route, but normal movement was restored after the bus was removed with the help of a crane.

Himachal Pradesh has witnessed several road accidents in recent months, largely attributed to narrow roads, sharp curves, and adverse weather conditions, prompting authorities to reiterate the need for cautious driving in hilly areas.
