The workers released a video on February 2, detailing their plight and urging the government to intervene. They said they have been stranded abroad, struggling to meet basic necessities while their employers have delayed or withheld payments.

Authorities in Jharkhand confirmed they are aware of the situation and coordinating with officials in Dubai to facilitate the workers’ safe repatriation. The case highlights ongoing challenges faced by Indian migrant labourers overseas, including delayed salaries, poor working conditions, and limited legal recourse.

Local leaders and social organisations have also called on both the Jharkhand and UAE authorities to ensure the protection and timely repatriation of the stranded workers.
