Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress is facing internal unrest after denying tickets to several sitting MLAs in its latest candidate list, leading to protests, disappointment, and even calls for retirement from some नेताओं.
The party released its list of candidates on March 17, in which around 74 sitting legislators were dropped, while 15 MLAs were shifted to different constituencies as part of a major reshuffle ahead of the elections.

⚠️ Protests and Resentment
Soon after the announcement, scenes of protest and नाराज़गी emerged from various parts of West Bengal. Several denied MLAs and their supporters expressed anger over the decision, claiming they were overlooked despite years of service.
Some leaders reportedly staged demonstrations, while others voiced their frustration publicly, questioning the party’s selection process.
💬 Calls for Retirement
A few senior leaders, upset over being dropped, hinted at stepping away from active politics. Sources indicate that the denial of tickets has led to deep personal and political disappointment among long-serving members.

Party insiders suggest that the move is part of a strategic overhaul, aimed at:
Infusing fresh faces into the party
Countering anti-incumbency
