UP YouTuber Shadab Jakati Booked for Rape After Woman’s Complaint in Meerut

Meerut: Uttar Pradesh Police have registered an FIR against YouTuber Shadab Jakati on charges of rape following a complaint filed by a woman, officials confirmed on Friday. The case has been registered at Inchhauli Police Station in Meerut district, and an investigation is currently underway.

According to police officials, the woman submitted a written complaint alleging serious criminal offences, including rape. Acting on the complaint, police registered the FIR under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 64, which pertains to rape.


Superintendent of Police (Rural) Abhijeet Kumar said that the case was formally registered after preliminary verification of the complaint. “An FIR has been lodged based on the allegations made by the complainant. Further legal action will be taken after collecting evidence and recording statements as part of the investigation,” he said.

Police sources said that the woman’s statement has been documented, and efforts are being made to gather all relevant evidence related to the allegations. The YouTuber will be questioned as part of the probe, and procedural steps will follow as per law.


Meanwhile, Shadab Jakati has denied the allegations, claiming that he is being falsely implicated. He alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched against him and said repeated attempts are being made to malign his image and trap him in fabricated cases.


Authorities have stated that the investigation will be conducted in a fair and impartial manner, and the truth will be established based on facts and evidence. Further developments in the case are awaited.
