In a shocking crime from Uttar Pradesh, a man accused in a rape case allegedly murdered another man over a loan dispute and attempted to fake his own death by burning the victim’s body, police officials said.

According to investigators, the accused was facing serious legal trouble in connection with a rape case and was also under financial pressure due to an outstanding loan. In order to escape both the legal case and his debts, he allegedly planned a murder conspiracy with three of his friends.
Police said the group lured a man who had allegedly lent money to the accused to a secluded location under the pretext of settling the loan dispute. Once the victim arrived, the accused and his accomplices allegedly attacked and killed him.
After the murder, the accused reportedly attempted to stage the crime scene to make it appear as if he himself had died in an accident or fire. The suspects allegedly placed the victim’s body inside a vehicle and set it on fire, hoping authorities would believe that the burnt body was that of the accused.
However, the plan quickly unraveled during the police investigation. A team rushed to the spot after receiving information about the burnt vehicle and began examining the scene.
