Violence Erupts After Delhi Man Killed in Holi Clash; Roads Blocked, Vehicles Burnt

Tension gripped parts of Delhi after a man was killed during a violent clash between two families that reportedly began over a Holi-related incident. How the Dispute Began

According to police sources, the dispute started during celebrations of Holi when children were playing with water balloons and coloured water on the terrace of a house. During the festivities, a water balloon burst on the road and some coloured water accidentally splashed on a woman from another family passing by.

The woman objected to the incident, which led to an argument between the two families. What initially appeared to be a minor disagreement soon escalated into a heated confrontation involving several members from both sides.

Clash Turns Deadly

Witnesses said the situation quickly spiralled out of control as the argument turned into a physical fight. During the scuffle, a man was allegedly attacked and suffered serious injuries.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors later declared him dead. The victim’s death triggered anger among his relatives and local residents.

Protests and Arson

Soon after the news of the death spread, protests broke out in the locality. Groups of people gathered on the streets, blocked traffic on nearby roads, and allegedly set multiple vehicles on fire. The unrest caused panic among residents and disrupted movement in the area.
