We Should Rise Above Ego and Hatred: Former V-P Jagdeep Dhankhar

Former Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday called upon citizens to rise above ego and hatred, emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony for the nation’s progress. His remarks came after offering prayers at the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

Speaking to the media after the temple visit, Dhankhar said that the country is currently witnessing a positive transformation and that collective efforts are needed to strengthen national unity. He urged people to move beyond divisions and focus on constructive values that contribute to the development of society.


Dhankhar highlighted that spiritual places such as Mahakaleshwar inspire individuals to reflect on values like humility, compassion, and harmony. According to him, these values are essential for building a stronger and more inclusive nation.


The former Vice-President said that India’s growth and progress depend on the ability of its citizens to work together while respecting differences. He stressed that overcoming ego, hatred, and negativity will help create a more peaceful and progressive society.


During his visit, Dhankhar participated in temple rituals and offered prayers at the Jyotirlinga shrine of Lord Shiva, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in the country. Devotees and temple authorities welcomed him during the visit.


He also praised the cultural and spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh, noting that places like Ujjain continue to play an important role in preserving India’s

ancient traditions while inspiring future generations.


Dhankhar concluded by expressing hope that the country will continue on its path of positive transformation with unity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility among its citizens.
