Kolkata, West Bengal:The West Bengal government has launched a major rural employment initiative aimed at strengthening local economies and generating thousands of jobs across the state. The program focuses on infrastructure projects, skill training, and support for small businesses in rural districts.

Officials said the initiative will prioritize road construction, irrigation projects, housing schemes, and digital connectivity in villages. The state administration also plans to provide skill development training to youth and women to improve their employability.
