Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused confronted the woman and attacked her with a sharp weapon, leaving her severely injured. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot before any medical help could arrive.

After receiving information about the incident, police teams rushed to the village and began an investigation. One of the accused has been arrested, while efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the second suspect involved in the attack.

Officials said the victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police have registered a case of murder and are questioning local residents to gather more details about the incident.

Authorities noted that superstition and witchcraft-related accusations still lead to violent incidents in some rural areas. Police have urged villagers to report disputes or suspicions to authorities rather than resorting to violence.
