Woman, Lover Arrested for Strangling Former Partner, Dumping Body in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh

Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh:Police in Muzaffarnagar have arrested a woman and her lover for allegedly strangling the woman’s former partner and dumping his body in a drain in the New Mandi area, officials said on Monday.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Sanjeev, was the former lover of Sonia, who is now in a relationship with Sadik. Police sources said disputes arose because Sadik opposed Sonia’s continued contact with Sanjeev, which reportedly led to escalating tensions.

Authorities said the couple allegedly killed Sanjeev by strangulation before disposing of his body in a nearby drain to conceal the crime. A police investigation was launched following complaints about Sanjeev’s disappearance, leading to the arrests of the woman and her lover.

The Muzaffarnagar Police are now questioning the accused and gathering evidence to determine the full sequence of events and any accomplices. The case has sparked local concern over relationship disputes turning deadly, and police have assured strict action under the law.
