Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to UP’s First CM Govind Ballabh Pant on His Death Anniversary

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, paid heartfelt tributes to the state’s first Chief Minister Govind Ballabh Pant on his death anniversary, remembering his immense contribution to the development of the state and the nation.

In a message issued on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Govind Ballabh Pant was a visionary leader whose dedication to public service and governance laid a strong foundation for the progress of Uttar Pradesh. He added that the late leader’s ideals and work continue to inspire generations.


Yogi Adityanath noted that Govind Ballabh Pant played a key role in strengthening democratic values and administrative reforms during his tenure as the first Chief Minister of the state. Pant, a prominent freedom fighter and statesman, had also made significant contributions to India’s independence movement and later to nation-building.

The Chief Minister said that the policies and initiatives introduced by Pant during his leadership helped shape the governance structure of the state. “The works of the late leader continue to inspire and guide the state even today,” Yogi Adityanath said while paying tribute.


Several leaders, officials, and citizens across Uttar Pradesh also remembered Govind Ballabh Pant on the occasion, acknowledging his role in strengthening administration and promoting social welfare.


Govind Ballabh Pant is widely regarded as one of the most influential leaders in the early years after independence. His legacy continues to be remembered for his commitment to democratic governance, development, and public welfare in India.
